We're inviting a selected group of 40 artists from Romania, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom to help us build OnlineArtz around the real needs of artists and collectors. As a Founding Artist, you'll receive six months of complimentary Premium membership, a reduced 12% commission that stays with you for as long as you stay on Premium, enhanced opportunities for visibility, and a direct voice in how the platform develops.

A platform shaped with artists, not just for them
OnlineArtz connects artists with collectors across Romania, Poland, Spain and the UK. We're building it on the foundation of onlinearts.ro, where over 4,300 artists have listed more than 44,000 artworks and sold over 11,000 of them. The Founding Artist Programme brings together a small group of artists whose experience and honest feedback will shape how artworks are presented, discovered and sold on the new platform. Not a focus group after the fact. A voice in what gets built.

12% commission instead of 17%
Founding Artists sell at 12% on the artwork price instead of 17%, from day one. Shipping is set by you and isn't included. Stay on Premium and the rate stays with you, with no end date. Move off Premium and the standard rate applies, with no way back.
Enhanced visibility opportunities
Priority consideration for curated collections, featured artist areas and editorial placements. Placements depend on relevance and availability, so views and sales aren't guaranteed.
Founding Artist status
Recognition as part of the first community shaping OnlineArtz. The status stays on your account after the programme ends, whether or not you continue on a paid plan.
YOUR ROLE
Honest feedback, without a fixed time commitment
Participation should fit naturally alongside your work as an artist. There is no feedback quota and no set number of hours. We ask you to:
- Create and maintain a genuine artist profile.
- Upload a representative selection of your artworks.
- Explore the platform and use the features relevant to you.
- Tell us when something is unclear, difficult, broken or could work better.
- Join your country's Founding Artist WhatsApp group, run in your own language. This is the programme's main channel, so taking part means being in the group.
- Where practical, respond to occasional short surveys, feedback requests or invitations to test new features.
- Keep pre-release features confidential until we confirm they can be shared.
Ideas and suggestions you share may be used to improve the platform. We won't quote you publicly or use anything as a testimonial without asking you first.
Your participation is not promotional
You will never be asked to:
- Promote OnlineArtz to your followers or collectors.
- Create posts, videos, testimonials or other marketing content.
- Take part in advertising.
- Sell a minimum number of artworks or meet sales, audience or engagement targets.
If we would like to invite you to take part in a campaign, interview or testimonial, we will ask separately and you will always be free to decline. Saying no has no effect on your place in the programme or your visibility on the site.

3. Join OnlineArtz
We'll send you the Founding Artist Agreement to sign and return. Complete your artist profile and connect Stripe. Stripe handles payouts and needs to be set up before you can upload artwork.

Once Stripe is connected, upload a representative selection of artworks with clear images, descriptions and details for collectors.

Use OnlineArtz naturally across the six months and share practical feedback with our team and your country's founding community.

Nothing is charged automatically and no card is held. We'll remind you before the six months end so you can decide whether to continue on Premium and keep your 12% commission.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Artists who want to help improve the online art experience
The programme is designed for practising artists based in Romania, Poland, Spain or the United Kingdom who:
- Create original artwork suitable for presentation on OnlineArtz.
- Are willing to create a genuine, complete artist profile.
- Can upload a representative selection of their work.
- Are interested in exploring the platform and sharing constructive feedback.
- Are comfortable participating in a small country-based WhatsApp group.

YOUR WORK REMAINS YOURS
Your artwork. Your copyright. Your choice.
You retain ownership and copyright in the artwork, photographs, descriptions and other original content you upload. OnlineArtz receives only the permission needed to display and technically process that content to operate your profile, listings and the platform. Any use beyond that, including advertising or commercial use, requires your written permission.
Frequently asked questions
Is the programme free?+
Yes. Selected Founding Artists receive complimentary Premium membership for the six-month programme period. There is no subscription charge during that time.
How does the 12% commission work?+
Founding Artists pay 12% commission on sales instead of the standard 17%. It's calculated on the artwork price only, so shipping, which you set yourself, isn't included.
How long does the 12% rate last?+
For as long as you stay on Premium, with no end date. We'll remind you before the six months end so you can decide whether to continue. If you carry on with a paid Premium plan, your 12% carries over. If you move to another plan or leave Premium at any point, the standard 17% applies from then on and the Founding Artist rate can't be restored later. The rate is tied to your account and can't be transferred. If we change the standard commission rate in future, yours stays at 12%.
Will I automatically be charged after six months?+
No. There is no automatic paid renewal and no payment card is held during the programme. We'll remind you before the six months end so you can decide what you want to do. Continue on a paid Premium plan and your 12% commission carries over. Choose not to, and the standard 17% rate applies.
What happens to my artworks if I don't continue on Premium?+
They stay where they are. You keep the artworks you've already uploaded, even if you move to a different plan after the programme.
Do I have to promote OnlineArtz?+
No. This is a feedback programme, not an influencer or ambassador agreement. There is no requirement to post on social media, create promotional content or endorse OnlineArtz publicly.
Do I have to make sales?+
No. There are no minimum sales, views or engagement targets, and participation does not guarantee sales or a particular level of visibility.
How much time will it take?+
There is no fixed time commitment. We ask you to use the platform during the programme and share honest, constructive feedback when you have something useful to tell us.
Do I keep the rights to my work?+
Yes. You retain ownership and copyright in your artwork and original content. Participation does not transfer your intellectual property to OnlineArtz. If you leave, your listings come down and your images are removed from the site.
Do I need an existing OnlineArtz account?+
You will need an OnlineArtz artist profile to take part, but you can create or complete it as part of joining the programme.
Is WhatsApp participation required?+
Yes. The country WhatsApp group is how we run the programme, so taking part means being in the group. There's a separate group for each country, run in your own language, with members of the OnlineArtz team in it. Questions, quick feedback and updates all happen there. Other members will be able to see the name, profile information and telephone number linked to your WhatsApp account, so please don't share confidential or sensitive information in the group.
Do I need to connect Stripe?+
Yes. Stripe handles payments and payouts on OnlineArtz, and you'll need it connected before you can upload artwork. Setup takes a few minutes and you'll be asked for your bank details and some basic identity information. Stripe is the payment provider, so OnlineArtz never sees or stores your bank details.
What happens if I want to leave?+
Participation is voluntary and you may leave at any time by contacting us. Complimentary Premium, the 12% commission rate and other programme benefits end when your participation ends. Your artwork and copyright are unaffected.
Can OnlineArtz end the programme?+
Yes. We may change or end the programme, or an individual artist's participation, at our discretion. If that happens, complimentary Premium and programme benefits may end at the same time. It never affects ownership of your artwork.
How are artists selected?+
OnlineArtz will select a small group of artists whose work and participation can contribute to a useful, varied founding community. There are 10 places available in each participating country, and submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
When do applications close?+
31 December 2026, or earlier if all 40 places are filled.
How do I join once I'm selected?+
We'll email you the Founding Artist Agreement. Read it, sign it and send it back, and we'll take it from there.
